VERTEX WIRELESS HIRES NEW DIRECTOR OF SALES FOR REGIONAL CARRIER CHANNEL
WEST CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (August 20, 2019)
Vertex Wireless, LLC., a mobile device distribution provider with a 12+ year history of partnering with rural wireless carriers, announced today that industry veteran Mike Ruggles has joined Vertex Wireless as Director of Sales for the LRA/ACG channel members. Ruggles will join Jim Thomas who, as Director of Sales for GSM carriers, already provides tremendous support to CCA. Together, Mr. Thomas and Mr. Ruggles will provide a high level of experienced, professional support to the Competitive Carriers Association.
In his role, Mr. Ruggles will focus on assisting Regional Carrier Partners with portfolio planning, cost savings, supply chain efficiencies, product availability, and procurement. Mr. Ruggles will also be responsible for continuing to drive the company’s strategy of creating innovative mobile portfolios and solutions that support the ever-evolving needs of our Regional Carrier Partners.

Ruggles brings over 28 years of experience within the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Vertex Wireless, Mr. Ruggles was National Sales Director at Ingram Micro Mobility (formerly Brightpoint), with specific responsibility for the Regional Carrier and MVNO distribution. In conjunction, Ruggles also managed all the related OEM/ODM relationships in support of the Regional Carrier channel. Mr. Ruggles also brings OEM experience in his previous role with Samsung Telecommunications America as Sales Director – Regional Carrier and Distribution Sales.
