These are the devices you should keep an eye on in 2022
Are you wondering which mobile devices should be on your buying radar for this upcoming year? Many phones were unveiled at CES 2022 despite the pandemic causing multiple companies to pull out from the show last minute and shutting the trade show down a day early.
Companies gave a sneak peak of what their flagships of 2022 will look like, and a lot of these held multiple midrange devices that focused on a lower cost. From the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S21 FE to the Astro Slide that has only ever been seen on Kickstarter, these are the devices that had the greatest announcements and left CES 2022 with the most hype, and the devices you should keep in mind when planning out your 2022 device portfolio.
Let’s take a look at the devices I think you should keep your eye on based off what companies presented at CES 2022.
The phone everyone has been waiting for is finally here, and I definitely don’t think it’s going to disappoint anyone. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is the newest midrange phone that Samsung has added to the S21 family. With a price starting at $699.99, this phone has many features of the S21 but is $100 cheaper.
This phone is rumored to have an incredible battery life with the 4,500 mAh battery that can be charged with a cable or a wireless charging pad, 3 amazing cameras on the back which include a 12MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto lens and is supposed to have the same performance speed as many of the other S21 devices because it uses the Snapdragon 888 chip, which is the same chip in most of the S21 devices. The phone runs Android 12 with Samsung’s One UI laid over the top.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is another phone you should definitely keep your eye on. OnePlus teased this new device throughout the week at CES, unveiling something new about the device every day. Starting with the design, then going to the processor and finally they talked about the camera.
This phone is set to launch in China on January 11th, but so far they haven’t released a global launch date on this device. With that being said, if they follow the trend of when their devices usually launch for the United States we should see this device around March or April.
Many details about this phone haven’t been released, but what we do know is it will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12, a 5,000-mAh battery and 80-watt wired fast charging. The OnePlus 10 Pro will also have 3 rear cameras with an LED flash and an upgraded 32MP front camera.
Nokia gave us a glimpse of 5 new devices during CES 2022, and although they all should remain on your watch list for the year, one in particular stood out to me, the Nokia G400.
The Nokia G400 is 5G compatible and is priced at only $239. Although we don’t have all the details for this phone we do know it will come with a beautiful 6.6″ full HD screen, a 48MP camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. This phone will feature the Snapdragon 480 5G SoC and 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. For the price point this phone comes with many features you wouldn’t expect to get while paying that price!
The other phones Nokia unveiled to us at CES 2022 are the Nokia G100, the Nokia C200, the Nokia C100 and the Nokia 2760 Flip. All these phones will run on the 4G network and are priced between $99-$149. We have no official launch date for these devices, but I think we can expect them to drop sometime within the first half of 2022.
TCL also revealed 2 phones to us at CES 2022, the TCL 30 V 5G and the TCL 30 XE 5G. They didn’t give us a whole lot of information on these devices, but what we do know is that these devices are going to be in the midrange when it comes to price and I think you should expect these to be around the $500 price point.
The TCL 30 V 5G will be exclusive to Verizon customers, and will feature a beautiful 6.67″ 1080p screen and a triple camera design on the back of the device. These cameras will include a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. This phone will also come built with the Snapdragon 480 chip with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The TCL 30 XE 5G will feature a 720p screen, 13MP main camera paired with macro and depth sensors and an 8MP front camera. It was built with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This phone will be exclusive to T-Mobile customers.
All of these devices will becoming to Vertex soon! Please contact your sales rep if you are interested in adding any of these phones to your device portfolio!
